GIAC regularly performs reviews to assess potential threats to impartiality and acts proactively to mitigate both actual and perceived conflicts of interest and threats.

About ANAB ISO/IEC 17024 Accreditation
Fully enacted on April 1, 2003, this international standard (ANAB ISO/IEC 17024) was designed to harmonize the personnel certification process worldwide and create a more cost-effective global standard for workers. ISO/IEC 17024, officially entitled "General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification Systems of Persons," plays a prominent role in facilitating global standardization of the certification community, enhancing consistency, and protecting consumers.

GIAC joins six other leading accredited certification bodies to collaboratively champion vendor-neutral certifications in information security, privacy, and related IT disciplines in order to advance the craft and practice of our certification program.
